Speaking at the Armenian-Indian Business Forum in Yerevan on 14 March, Armenian Deputy Economy Minister Narek Teryan announced that Armenia is actively engaged in negotiations with India and Iran to establish a trade route.

Teryan indicated that the talks were taking place in a trilateral format, although he declined to give specific details at this stage. However, he did mention that a pilot project for cargo transport along the route has been initiated, marking progress in the initiative.

While freight transport is already underway on a pilot basis, Teryan stressed that significant efforts are still required to ensure stable and substantial cargo transhipment along the route.

Regarding Armenia's potential involvement in Iran's Chabahar port, Teryan stated that discussions are underway on various forms of participation by Armenian entities or companies.
