
Azerbaijan and Türkiye Pledge to Deepen Defense Industry Collaboration

On April 2, during a meeting with a delegation led by Haluk Gorgun, the President of the Secretariat of Defense Industries under the Presidency of the Republic of Türkiye, Ilham Aliyev, the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, expressed appreciation for the longstanding and robust friendship between Azerbaijan and Türkiye, particularly in military and defense sectors.
President Aliyev lauded the global acclaim earned by Turkish military-industrial products for their quality and effectiveness, affirming Azerbaijan's commitment to advancing its defense industry. He welcomed the visit of the Turkish delegation, led by Gorgun, as an opportunity to explore avenues for enhanced cooperation.
Haluk Gorgun reciprocated the sentiment, expressing gratitude for the warm reception and conveying satisfaction with the delegation's visit. He noted the signing of several memoranda between Turkish companies and Azerbaijani defense industry firms, marking a significant step forward in bilateral collaboration.
Highlighting Azerbaijan's recent victory in the Patriotic War and President Aliyev's electoral success, Gorgun emphasized the significance of the President's official visit to Türkiye in February. He portrayed these events as integral to strengthening the enduring bond between the two nations.
