Azerbaijan Repatriates Bodies of Four Nationals Killed in Sea of Azov Drone Strike

On June 10, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan stated that the bodies of Azerbaijani citizens who had been on board vessels attacked in the Sea of Azov were returned to Azerbaijan. According to the ministry, the remains of four Azerbaijani nationals killed in a drone strike targeting cargo ships in the Sea of Azov were brought back to the country on the same day. The ministry expressed condolences, stating, "We extend our deepest condolences to the families and loved ones of our compatriots who died in the tragedy," it emphasized.

The Foreign Ministry had earlier stated that out of 25 Azerbaijani citizens on board the cargo vessels Natra and Zirkon, four were injured and four were killed as a result of drone attacks in the Sea of Azov on June 5. It was also noted that the vessels were not owned by the Azerbaijani state.
