On March 10, Akhmed Dudayev, the Chechen Minister for National Policy, Foreign Relations, Press, and Information, called for a reconsideration of the decision to block Telegram in the Chechen Republic, arguing that residents have the same right to access and share information as other Russian citizens.

Dudayev stated that blocking Telegram in Chechnya was "absolutely unjustified and irrational," questioning why the region was singled out. He asked,
"If this is not a biased attitude, what is the reason for choosing the Chechen Republic specifically? How does the situation in the Chechen Republic differ from other subjects of Russia? Are there information risks in our region that do not exist in other regions of the country?"

He emphasized that banning a platform due to the actions of individual provocateurs was unreasonable and instead suggested developing a strategy to counter such threats on the platform itself.

Highlighting official statistics, Dudayev stressed that the Chechen Republic is one of the safest regions in Russia. He reiterated the call to reverse the decision, insisting that Chechen residents have equal rights to information access and dissemination as other Russian citizens.
