On February 16, the Anti-Corruption Court in Yerevan placed former Armenian Economy Minister Vahan Kerobyan under house arrest for two months. Kerobyan, who resigned from his position the previous week, faced charges of abuse of power after being summoned for questioning by the Investigative Committee of Armenia.

During his court appearance, Kerobyan stated that he did not perceive the criminal case against him as politically motivated. He emphasized that Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan had no involvement in the trial, and he personally did not detect any political undertones in the case. However, Kerobyan revealed that Araik Harutyunyan, the head of the government staff, suggested that he submit a resignation letter.
