During the first half of 2024, international tourism generated a record $1.9 billion for Georgia. From January to June 2024, tourism income surpassed the figures for the same period in 2019 by 30.4%, amounting to $570 million. In 2023, this figure was $94 million.

Additionally, revenue from tourists from the European Union and the UK reached a record $246 million, marking a 14% increase over the previous year's figures. Tourists visited Georgia 2 million times in the first half of the year, a 10% rise compared to 2023.

Turkey topped the list of countries for tourist arrivals to Georgia, with over 623,000 trips made in the first two quarters of 2024, representing a 7.1% increase from the previous year's data. Russia ranked second in terms of tourist arrivals to Georgia.
