On September 30, Georgian President Salome Zourabichvili met with German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier in Berlin. 

During the meeting in Berlin, the President of Georgia discussed the pre-election environment in Georgia, which she claimed was influenced by Russia, as well as the obstacles faced by the Georgian diaspora in participating in the elections, according to an official press release from the Georgian presidential administration. Zourabichvili also raised the issue of non-governmental organizations facing challenges, specifically their ability to conduct monitoring missions.

Zourabichvili emphasized "the steady mood" of the Georgian people, reaffirming their pro-European stance and stating that "the foreign orientation of the Georgian people was, is, and will be European." 

In response, the German President welcomed the Georgian Charter, a roadmap initiated by Zourabichvili to guide Georgia back toward its EU integration. According to the press release, Steinmeier "expressed his support for the victory of pro-European forces in Georgia" and reiterated his strong backing for the Georgian people and their aspirations for a European future.
