On March 20, Armen Grigoryan, the Secretary of the Armenian Security Council, emphasized that Armenia will defend its territory if Azerbaijan attacks, while speaking to journalists.

During the conversation, Grigoryan assured that the Armenian Defense Ministry would handle the country’s defense, stating, "There are no questions here." He rejected Azerbaijan's recent accusations that Armenia had violated the ceasefire, calling them false. Grigoryan also highlighted the significance of statements made by both the EU mission in Armenia and the Armenian Defense Ministry, which refuted Azerbaijan’s claims. He further noted that Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan had reaffirmed his commitment to maintaining stability in the region.

Grigoryan reiterated that Armenia remains committed to the peace agenda, stating that all articles of the peace treaty have been agreed upon. He emphasized Armenia’s readiness to sign the document and begin discussing technical details, such as the date and location of the signing.

Grigoryan acknowledged the high public interest in the peace agreement but clarified that the finalization of the signing date and venue was still pending. "When it is finalized, we will publicly present the text," he said, describing the ongoing negotiations as part of a diplomatic approach to the issue.
