Indian FM Jaishankar Highlights Armenia's Strategic Position Between Europe and the East

On June 26, Indian Foreign Minister Subrahmanyam Jaishankar underscored the strategic importance of Armenia's location between Europe and the East, highlighting the strong ties between India and Armenia.
Jaishankar stated, "There are many opportunities to develop mutually beneficial relations in various fields: economic, cultural, political and others. So there is a lot to work on."
He also discussed the implementation of cross-border logistics projects, which have recently attracted the attention of many countries. Jaishankar noted, "There have been a lot of changes in the last few decades that have created opportunities to open new transport and logistics corridors. There is a lot of talk about the North-South transport route, based on which the (Iranian) Chabahar port plays an important role for many nations. The Central Asian corridor is also being considered as an alternative route. There will be other alternatives because all the previous corridors were built eight to nine decades ago and their resources and capacities have been exhausted.
