Investments in Georgia on the Rise
According to a preliminary report from the Georgian National Statistics Office (GeorgiaStat), the volume of foreign direct investment in Georgia in 2025 amounted to USD 1,688.7 million, which is a 7.6% increase compared to the revised 2024 figure. The agency claims this increase is due to growth in two components of foreign direct investment: equity capital and reinvestment.
According to preliminary data, equity capital amounted to $601.8 million in 2025, which is a 15.3% increase compared to the revised figure for the previous year. Reinvestment increased by 3.8%, amounting to USD 1,397.8 million," reports GeorgiaStat. In 2025, the three largest investor countries accounted for 40.8% of total foreign direct investment: The United Kingdom (19.8%), Turkey (10.7%), and Malta (10.3%).
The three largest sectors (by FDI volume) accounted for 56.8% in 2025: The financial and insurance sector received $607.0 million (35.9% of total FDI); the real estate sector received $185.7 million (11.0%); and the transport sector received $166.1 million (9.8%).
BMG requested information from Geostat on the companies that received the largest amounts of FDI in the fourth quarter of last year. According to Geostat, Eagle Hills Georgia was among the top ten companies, making its first appearance in the ranking of the largest investors. However, the exact amount of investment in this company is a trade secret. The list of the top ten companies that received the largest foreign investments in the fourth quarter of 2025 is as follows:

- Car and Motorcycle Repair (Malta)
- TAV Urban Georgia (transportation and warehousing; UK/Turkey)
- Georgian Cement (processing industry; Netherlands)
- Kapital Georgia (financial and insurance activities; UK)
- Silk Road Group Holding (financial and insurance activities; Malta)
- Eagle Hills Georgia (construction; United Arab Emirates)
- IG Development Georgia (real estate activities; USA)
- BGEO Group (financial and insurance activities; UK)
- Tenmar Capital (financial and insurance activities; United Arab Emirates)
- SOCAR Midstream Operations (Georgian branch) (transportation and warehousing; Azerbaijan).
