Nikol Pashinyan Meets Irakli Garibashvili at Armenian-Georgian Border
On August 19, at the Bagratashen section of the Armenian-Georgian border, Nikol Pashinyan and Irakli Garibashvili, the Prime Ministers of Armenia and Georgia, had a private conversation, the Press Office of the Armenian Prime Minister reported. The meeting took place within the framework of the launching ceremony of the Armenian-Georgian Friendship Bridge.
Nikol Pashinyan and Irakli Garibashvili attached importance to the bridge launch and emphasized its role in facilitating bilateral transport flows. The Heads of Government of Armenia and Georgia noted that high-level intensive contacts testify to the dynamic development of Armenian-Georgian relations and the high level of political dialogue. The interlocutors discussed issues of Armenia-Georgia cooperation and exchanged ideas on regional developments. Both sides reaffirmed their willingness to deepen friendly ties and continue the active dialogue consistently.
On the same day, Pashinyan and Garibashvili participated in the official inauguration of the Armenian-Georgian Friendship Bridge at the Bagratashen-Sadakhlo checkpoint on the Armenia-Georgia interstate border. The ceremony was also attended by members of the government of both countries: Deputy Prime Minister Hambardzum Matevosyan, Minister of Defense Suren Papikyan, Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructures Gnel Sanosyan, Minister of Finance Tigran Khachatryan, and some others.
