
Nikol Pashinyan's Son Attacked

According to the newspaper Haykakan Zhamanak (the editor-in-chief of this publication is the wife of the head of the government republic Anna Hakobyan), on May 17, around 3 PM [local time] Ashot Pashinyan, the son of the Prime Minister of Armenia, was attacked in Yerevan and attempted to kidnap him.
According to preliminary data, the participants in the kidnapping attempt were members of the Call of Sons public organization, who forced Ashot Pashinyan to get into their car, but he managed to jump out on the go. As a result, Ashot fell under the wheels of another car, also owned by members of this organization. The only son of Nikol Pashinyan suffered a leg injury.
The failed kidnappers reportedly fled after this. The victim appealed to law enforcement agencies.
On the same day, the mother of a serviceman who died in Karabakh, Gayane Hakobyan, who was detained on suspicion of kidnapping the son of Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, was hospitalized.
