Armenian Defense Ministry Confirms Death Of Serviceman
On June 2, the Armenian Defense Ministry reported that the body of Aramayis Meruzhani Gevorgyan, a serviceman of the ministry's N military unit, was discovered at approximately 00:10. According to the ministry, an investigation has been launched to determine the full circumstances surrounding the incident. The ministry also extended its condolences and support to Gevorgyan's family, relatives, and fellow servicemen.

Azerbaijan And Georgia Deepen Defense Partnership During High-Level Tbilisi Meetings And Military Visits
On June 1, Zakir Hasanov, the Azerbaijani Minister of Defense, met with Irakli Kobakhidze, the Prime Minister of Georgia, in Tbilisi. The meeting, attended by Irakli Chikovani, Georgia’s Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, focused on the current state of bilateral relations as well as regional and international issues. The parties underscored the importance of preserving peace and stability in the region and emphasized the strong strategic partnership and defense cooperation between Azerbaijan and Georgia.
During his visit to Georgia, Hasanov also held talks with Chikovani. In line with official protocol, the defense ministers reviewed a guard of honor during the welcoming ceremony, and the national anthems of both countries were performed. Hasanov stated that military cooperation between Azerbaijan and Georgia continues to broaden and deepen, reflecting the steady progress of bilateral relations across various sectors. The meeting, which was also attended by Faig Guliyev, Azerbaijan’s Ambassador to Georgia, included extensive discussions on future cooperation in military, military-technical, and military education fields, as well as other matters of mutual interest. As part of the visit, the Azerbaijani delegation paid tribute at the Heroes Memorial in Tbilisi and the monument to Heydar Aliyev at the Heydar Aliyev Culture and Recreation Park, where wreaths were laid.
On June 2, Hasanov visited several military facilities in Georgia. Together with Chikovani and Lieutenant General Giorgi Matiashvili, Commander of the Georgian Defense Forces, he toured the Mukhrovani base of the Special Operations Command named after Major Gela Chedia. Following a detailed briefing on the base, the Azerbaijani delegation inspected the facilities and conditions established there and viewed an exhibition of weapons and military equipment.
Azerbaijan And Belarus Military Lawyers Meet In Baku
On June 3, military lawyers from Azerbaijan and Belarus held a working meeting in Baku in accordance with the bilateral military cooperation plan signed between the defense ministries of the two countries. The participants exchanged views on the organization of legal services, military legislation, and the professional experience of military lawyers. The discussions also focused on the harmonization of the military legislation of Azerbaijan and Belarus with international legal norms and principles, as well as several other issues of mutual interest.
Kyrgyz Military Delegation Visits Baku
On June 3, a Kyrgyz military delegation visited Azerbaijan in line with the bilateral cooperation plan for 2026 signed between the Ministries of Defense of Azerbaijan and Kyrgyzstan. During the visit, Azer Ibrahimov, the Azerbaijani Ministry of Defense’s Chief of the Main Department of Internal Security and Investigations, Major General Azer Ibrahimov, met with the Kyrgyz delegation in Baku. At the meeting, the guests were briefed in detail on the activities of the Main Department and the structure of internal security operations.
The sides discussed the current state and future prospects of military security cooperation between the two countries, stressing the importance of mutual exchange of professional experience. They also addressed a range of topical issues in this field, while the Kyrgyz delegation’s questions were answered during the discussions.
