
Iranian President Raisi Criticizes Azerbaijan's Ties with Israel

At a meeting with Jeyhun Bayramov, the Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan, on October 23, Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi stated that Israel cannot be a friend of Azerbaijan.
The President of the Islamic Republic confirmed Tehran’s readiness to participate in solving problems in the region, emphasizing its principled position against foreign interference. He noted that he had already told his Azerbaijani colleague Ilham Aliyev that Israel cannot be a friend of Azerbaijan and other Muslim countries, as evidenced by the current situation in the Gaza Strip.
According to the Iranian President, one of Tehran's foreign policy priorities is expanding Tehran-Baku relations and cooperation in various fields. "Iran is one of the important and powerful countries in the region, which emphasizes respect for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of all countries and emphasizes resolving issues and problems through understanding and cooperation among countries in the region," Raisi noted.
